Mouthwash Oriental Style

Most mouthwash products in the market use practically the same ingredients, sometimes only with a change of flavor or color. The common ingredient in most of the brands of mouthwash is alcohol. This kills the bacteria because bacteria are the root cause of bad breath. But after some time when the effects of the mouthwash wear off, the bacteria returns again which again brings back bad breath.

There are a few alcohol-free mouthwashes in the market which can be used by elderly people as well as children. Most importantly they have to work on the bacteria in the mouth which is the cause of bad breath. Try out the Ayurvedic mouthwashes which are not only alcohol free, but also free from all chemicals.

A mouthwash which is Ayurvedic is a wonderful alternative to all the fancy colored and flavoured ones in the shops. It normally contains herbal oils and extracts which make the gums and teeth healthy. The herbs commonly used are neem, clove and peelu, and they make the mouthwash a bit spicy too.

But just natural mint-flavored mouthwash can act as an astringent, an antiseptic as well as purifier of your breath. Because of the medicinal qualities, it helps to prevent cavities and plaque formation and cure gum inflammation.

Use Ayurvedic toothpaste to start off with, and because of the absence of fluoride there is hardly any foam formation. So, when you are brushing with an electric toothbrush, use the toothpaste generously and then finish off with an Ayurvedic mouthwash. There are no artificial sweeteners or preservatives in the mouthwash, and naturally no alcohol. Vegans can use the product as it is made up of natural ingredients only.

Use an Ayurvedic solution as a mouthwash throughout the day, even between brushings. It will keep your mouth and breath fresh with a tingling sensation all day.
